Thank you to all of the families who participated in the “Bee Happy, Bee Creative” Primary School Lockdown Competition!! Charlotte, Miranda and I loved all of your entries – so much so that we are sending beeswax wraps to all who entered! I trust that you will love wrapping your school lunches in your new beeswax wrap and I pray that the rest of your 2021 school year is as happy, creative and positive as each of you are.
To lift people’s spirits and help engage kids in non screen time activity over the next 7 days (Victorian lockdown) my daughter Miranda (Sustainability Leader at Clifton Springs Primary School), my daughter Charlotte (Shine Captain at CSPS) & I (owner/operator Bellarine Bee Wraps 🐝) have decided to hold a competition!
Bellarine Bee Wraps will award beeswax food wraps to 10 winners drawn randomly at the conclusion of lockdown.
Entries are open to all primary school aged children in Victoria. There is no entry fee, no collection of personal data, no requirement to subscribe, like or any other catch. It is completely strings free.
Entries are to comprise of drawings, paintings, collage, poetry, writing or anything else creative using the themes “Bee Happy” or “Bee Creative”. Let your imagination run wild! Use anything you have in your home or garden.
Entries are to be sent to email@example.com with student name & class (if a Clifton Springs Primary School student). If students do not attend CSPS please include a mailing address in case selected as a prize winner or you can provide that later if you prefer. A photo using your phone is fine!
Daily entries will be posted on an anonymous basis to Bellarine Bee Wraps’ Instagram page @bellarine_bee_wraps to share the excitement and lift kids’ spirits. Students are welcome to enter as many times as they like.
Love to all during this period – stay safe and stay positive!
Sustainability is the heart of Bellarine Bee Wraps.
In addition to my beautiful range of handcrafted reusable beeswax food wrap, I have created a range of high quality reusable face masks to add some cheer to your days. I have sewn the masks with three layers of quality quilting cotton and top-stitched all layers for durability and form. These masks are sewn with the level of love and care that I have used when making them as gifts for my family and friends now that we are required to wear them in Victoria to keep each other safe.
I will update my listings as the stock is made. Please contact me with any specific requests or orders you may have and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
Instead of sharing a coffee and chat with you at Queenscliffe Community Market this morning, I thought I’d say a quick “Hi” at coffee o’clock to let you know that you are all in my thoughts and I hope that you are well.
The Autumn weather has been spectacular these last few days. I know so many of you love to wander the markets for some fresh air, exercise, to showcase your cute dogs and enjoy some great food. I trust you are finding creative alternatives to continue to enjoy your Sundays.
For all of you who are holding the fort and continuing to provide us with essential services, healthcare and the like, I am truly grateful for all that you do.
I look forward to catching up with you at our Spring/Summer Markets. In the meantime, I’d love to see some photos of your beeswax wraps in use, crazy photos of your dogs, or hear your suggestions for colours/prints/sizes that you’d like me to include in my range.
