Large Beeswax Wrap – Indigineous – Bush Onion Dreaming

The cotton base fabric purchased to produce this Beeswax Wrap is entitled “Bush Onion Dreaming”. It is a gorgeous Australian Aboriginal dreaming abstract art print featuring the indigineous dreaming illustration of artist Julianne Turner Nungarri.

Julianne has depicted the bush onion, or Merne Yalke, which grows in sandy creek bottoms. This tiny delicacy may be eaten raw or cooked. The painting shows circles, the sites formed during the dreaming as the Nambajimba and Nungarrayi women wandered the barren land, bringing the physical landscape and the foods to life. The bush onions are shown as the white circles.

This large beeswax food wrap measures 36 x 36 cm, making it the perfect size for covering bowls, plates, cantaloupe, broccoli, salad wraps etc.

The handcrafted reusable food wrap is made from 100% cotton fabric infused with premium quality locally sourced beeswax, gum resin and jojoba oil.

It is naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial.

Store all types of fruit, veggies, cheeses, snacks and lunch items such as sandwiches and wraps. Great for covering plates, bowls and food containers.

Use warmth and pressure of hands to create seal.

Rinse with cold water and store out of direct sunlight and dust. Using care instructions, wrap will last in excess of 12 months.
